Privacy Policy Sherlock’s Place

We also have a privacy policy and like to be open and transparent with our customers. This mainly concerns how we handle your data that we receive from you when we have contact, conclude a transaction, or when we have contact. Below you can read the official version, but we would also like to briefly explain what it entails.

We receive data from you such as email addresses, name and address details and bank details if a transaction takes place.

We do not provide data to other parties, so no data is sold on to marketing companies, etc. Of course, there are parties that also have access to your data when you buy something from us, for example the bank or Mollie Payments through whom we arrange our transactions. Under point 9 you will find a list of third parties with whom we collaborate.

We collect two types of information: personal information and anonymous information – and we may use this personal information and anonymous information to create a third type: aggregate information.

We collect the following categories of information:

* Registration information that you provide when you create your account, including your first and last name, country of residence, gender, date of birth, email address, username and password

* Transaction information that you enter when you make inquiries or purchase a product or service from us, including your postal address, phone number and payment information

* Information that you provide in public forums on our sites and within our applications

* Information that is submitted individually or to a limited group, through our message, chat, posting or other such features that we are legally permitted to use to collect this information.

* Information that you provide to us when you use our sites or applications, our applications on third-party sites or platforms such as social networking sites, or link your profile to a third-party site or platform through your registered account

* Location information when you visit our site or use our applications. This also includes location information from a mobile device that exchanges data with one of our sites or applications (for example, through beacon technologies), or information associated with your IP address, to the extent we are legally permitted to process this information.

* Usage or viewing, and technical data, including your device ID or IP address, when you visit our sites, use our applications on third-party sites or platforms, or open emails we send you.

1. How We Collect Your Information

* When you request products, services, or information from us, register with us, participate in public forums, or engage in other activities through our sites and applications, participate in a customer survey, or otherwise interact with us, we collect the information you provide to us. Please be aware that when you submit information to a third-party site or platform (e.g., through our applications), the information you provide may be stored separately by the third-party site or platform. The information we collect is protected by this Privacy Policy, and the information collected through the third-party sites or platforms is subject to the privacy policy of the third-party site or platform. The privacy choices you have made through the third-party site or platform do not apply to our use of information collected directly through our applications. * We collect information using various tracking technologies, such as cookies, Flash cookies, web beacons, including when you visit or use our sites or applications, or use our applications on third-party sites or platforms.

* We obtain information from other trusted sources to update or supplement our information that you have automatically provided to us or that we have automatically collected. Local law may require that you give the third party (us) permission to share that information before we can access it.

Sherlock’s Place acts as the administrator of the personal registration for your data and uses the data for the following purposes:

* To provide you with the products and services you have requested

* To contact you in connection with your account or transactions with us, and to send you information in the event that you have registered for the newsletter yourself

* To optimize and improve our products, services and activities

* To identify, investigate and prevent activities that may violate our policies or be unlawful

We do not share your personal data outside of Sherlock’s Place. Your data will not be sold or provided to parties who have nothing to do with the transaction or with Sherlocks Place.

Please note that if you do not consent to our collection of your personal information, we will not be able to provide you with certain products and services, and some of our services will not be able to take into account your interests and preferences.

The security, integrity and confidentiality of your data are of great importance to us. However, you should be aware that, despite our efforts, no security measure is perfect or completely watertight.
